Despite having highlighted the selected option, users are getting confused as to which color indicates the selection.
This is only really an issue for switches that have 2 options. Switches with three or more options are more obvious.

A secondary indicator would help make the selected option even more apparent. The original solution only has color as an indicator for a selection.
The following are a selection of secondary indicators, including: stroke, bold font, bold font with stroke, accent color, shadow, spacing, spacing with shadow, and addition of an icon.

Out of all the options above, I find that the stroke and font adjustments are the most effective.
